FOR 2021 – No membership fees. You still need to officially join the club but dues have been waived for this year due to the inability to meet in person.
Normal yearly membership is $30.00. With your paid dues you are eligible for a 10% discount at the Rockler Woodworking and Hardware store in South Portland (some exclusions apply; ask cashier for more details).
Membership has several benefits:
- Voting rights for Guild Officers
- The right to borrow items from our library. We have books, VHS Tapes, books and CD/DVDs
- A discount of 10% on most non sale items purchased in the Rockler South Portland Store. With this discount you can recover your dues very quickly.
You may join by attending a meeting and speaking with the club treasurer or sending an email to peninthehand@gmail.com (Dale Stewart) and he will get your information to the right people. He will provide you with instructions for creating an account on the website.
Access to the website provides a forum for sharing and learning about wood turning as well as links, photos, etc.
AAW Membership
Most of our club members belong to the American Association of Woodturners. There are many benefits to becoming a member, and we certainly encourage you to join. The AAW has provided this PDF to explain the member services, publications, and benefits.
