Al Mather of Maine Woodturners in China will educate us on multi-axis turning. Judging from the attached photos Al has certainly mastered the art as well as the mechanics of the turning genre. Al is largely self-taught but has leaned heavily on fellow wood turners to further his knowledge. A quote from his website: “I am the artist, the craftsman, and hopefully, a wise craftsman who reads, along with its defects and imperfection, the grain and the structure of the wood and uses it well.”
